Consultation at Essential Restorative Massage 


You receive 5 minutes of consultation time in addition to your treatment time (to discuss your treatment, accept payment and other standard things). This way you get the full hands on treatment time. However, for first time clients consultation can take extra time and this may go into your treatment time a little, depending how long it takes to assess your condition, fill out forms, etc. This ensures that my clinic always runs to time. Most clinics include consultation time in treatment time so this is a bonus when you choose me.

Clients with cancer seeking an oncology massage get 15 minutes free consultation time on their first visit due to the extensive health history we need to go through. I ask that if you are coming for an oncology massage that you have a list of medical interventions you have had (e.g. radiotherapy, chemotherapy, surgeries), the dates of the treatments, oncologist names, and any medication you are on.

Private Health Insurance

Private health insurance companies each have their own policies which they change with little to no notice to training providers and therefore not all remedial massage therapists have a provider number with every single company. I have provider numbers with the following companies for remedial massage:

I provide a high quality service so please don't be discouraged if your health fund isn't listed here.

Claiming is Easy

I provide an official receipt and most companies allow you to claim online. 

Mobile Massages Policies

Most health insurance companies are choosing not to provide rebates for mobile massages. Therefore please check their website or give them a call prior to booking if claiming a rebate is important to you for mobile massage. Your policy is between you and your health fund and the receipts I provide will indicate that it was a mobile massage service.

General Policies

Health insurance companies often conduct audits on health care providers including massage therapists. They do this with no notice. Note that I always follow their policies and ensure that I meet the requirements for you to claim for a remedial massage. This means that I will not help you make a fraudulent claim (e.g. trying to claim for a gift certificate, requesting that a massage therapist omits that the job was a mobile one, trying to claim under another person's name, etcetera.). I value honesty and integrity and will not fulfil these types of requests. I provide a professional health service, and I will only conduct myself professionally.

Late Policy

If you arrive late you will be charged for the full treatment time but you will only receive the remaining time of your appointment. This is to ensure other clients are not inconvenienced. It is recommended you arrive a few minutes prior to your treatment time.

If you arrive more than 5 minutes early, please wait outside or in your car so as not to disturb another client's massage.

Cancellation Policy

  1. Generally, it is expected you will give at least 48 hours notice when you need to change an appointment. This is in courtesy of your massage therapist and other clients as your appointment time has been reserved for you, and it can be difficult to fill a spot with little notice. It is easy to reschedule via the online booking app (or by contacting me) so if you do need to reschedule please do so at your earliest convenience and note that you can only cancel/reschedule online up until 24 hours prior to your appointment. If giving less than 24 hours notice you will need to call.

  2. If less than 24 hours notice is given with no medical issue/extenuating circumstances, 50% of the treatment fee may apply.

  3. If you fall ill with less than 24 hours until your appointment, then please call Belinda on 0433 523 678, giving at least 3 hours notice so that your appointment can be rescheduled with no penalty. Please leave a voicemail message if your call is unanswered.

  4. No show - when you don't show up and you haven't cancelled your appointment, or cancel last minute - the full fee applies.
